Anna von Gerdorff-Obolensky was a Swedish painter of Russian origin, born in St Petersburg into the princely Obolensky family. After receiving private art tuition between 1910 and 1918, she emigrated to Germany in the 1920s and continued her studies in Dresden from 1931 to 1933. Settling in Sweden from 1945 onwards, she exhibited regularly, notably in a solo exhibition at the Lyceum Club in Stockholm in 1950. Her body of work includes landscapes, seascapes, floral still lifes, portraits and interior scenes, executed mainly in watercolour and oil.
