Description
DIMITRY BORISOVICH LION (1925–1993) Untitled ink on paper 42.5 × 61.4 cm Dmitry Borisovich Lion (1925–1993) was a Russian graphic artist and a leading figure in the Soviet non-conformist movement. Born in Kaluga, he studied at the Moscow School of Fine Arts and later at the Moscow Architectural Institute. After completing his military service during and following the Second World War, he devoted himself to drawing and teaching.
