PARIS, Louis XV period.
COVERED ECUELLE in silver. The body is plain, the lugs openwork with foliage and shells in cast silver. The lid is trimmed with filets and ribbons and chased with foliage and stylised shells, the socket with a pomegranate au naturel.
Paris, 1754-1755. Master silversmith: Charles SPIRE, received Master in 1736.
Jurisdiction: letter O (for the body and lid) letter P (for the ears).
