Lorraine School (early 20th century). Ink drawing on paper depicting ‘ducks’ operating a machine gun, in response to reports published by major national newspapers in December 1908 claiming that artillery regiments were to be equipped with this weapon – a claim which turned out to be ‘fake news’. 16.5 x 19.7 cm.
