Daniel MEYER (1908–1993). The Battle of Nancy 1477–1977. A set of three original woodcuts, numbered 173 and 175/300 plus an artist’s proof, depicting the famous battle, the death of ‘The Bold’, the Étang Saint-Jean, etc. Countersigned and dated 1976. 50 x 66 cm. Stains on the artist’s proof. Included is a woodcut by THORELLE depicting the victorious entry of René II after the Battle of Nancy (the letter erroneously states 1476). Stains – mounted on a mat.
