Description
Two historical expense accounts: Chollet’s expense account (33x9, index 18) and the Nantes expense account (28x9, index 16) on a letter from Seville (Spanish campaign) addressed to “Lieutenant-General de Bourmont” on 16 and 17 August 1823 “by courier from Bordeaux” for Nantes, Cholet and then Candé. Letter addressed to the wife of the future Marshal Louis de Bourmont (1773–1846) by a cousin. Letter on letterhead, detailed account of events: ‘…mission to Portugal…we are due to leave around the 20th for Xeres…the Duke of Angoulême arrived the day before yesterday…’, etc. Three and a half pages.
