Letter on letterhead dated Ventôse, Year IV, concerning the number of horses assigned to various duties. Larousse plate. Certificate of registration for a horse (1937), 3 laws (1790/2: stallions, stud farms, use of emigrants’ horses). 5 decrees of the National Convention (1793: feeding of horses, horses not used in agriculture, exemption of courier horses from requisition, conscription of horses and subsequently of horses and mules). 8 circulars (1794 to 1810: census, payment, conscription, sick animals, artillery horses, census of fine horses to improve the breed, etc.). Veterinary bill from 1823.
