MUSIC: 4 letters addressed to Erard concerning pianos purchased (1854/56), a blank Erard certificate dated around 1890, a 48-page booklet entitled ‘A Few Words on Music and Ancient Poetry’ by Vincent, 1854, 2 small handwritten sheet music scores, a letter from 1846 ordering sheet music and enquiring about a second-hand piano, an invoice for a harmonium dated 1900, 2 orders for sheet music in 1833 and 1840, a handwritten collection of contra-dance scores (early 19th century, 8 pages), 4 small handwritten sheet music pieces in the same hand (formerly from the Colbert de Beaulieu collection), a lithograph entitled “A Pianist” by Devéria, circa 1835, a letter of acceptance to the music theory course at the National Conservatoire (directed by Fauré, 1918), illustrated invoice from 1936 for the purchase of a piano and its bench, printed score from 1812 for a prize-giving ceremony at a Parisian institution, the magazine *Les hommes du jour* devoted to Jules Massenet in 1910 (8 pages), a note, a power of attorney from a musician in the former 62nd Infantry Regiment in 1819, three drypoint engravings (Bizet, Berlioz and Saint-Saëns), two lithographed song scores from around 1830 with illustrations, a programme of music by the Republican Guard, a handwritten score of the ‘trou normand’ from 1935, two orders for violin strings (1925/32), eight engraved portraits including Bellini, Schubert, Lulli and Puccini; a diploma signed by Léo Lelièvre.
