In 1970, Néstor Basterretxea began to take an interest in alabaster and its light-reflecting qualities, as well as the possibilities it offers in terms of understanding sculpture. Another sculpture, entitled Haize (Wind) and created in 1978, is now held in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Vitoria-Gasteiz (ARTIUM).
