Decorative element featuring chimera and dragon motifs, Western Han Dynasty, 2nd century BC – 1st century AD. Light beige jade with brown undertones, carved and chiselled. Measures 11.7 x 7 cm. A rectangular piece decorated on one side with a composition of intertwined fantastical creatures and curvilinear motifs. The surface features a central relief line and double hanging holes at either end. The relief shows signs of wear and natural colour variations in the stone.
