Large Lioness in Bronze – Isidore-Jules Bonheur (1827–1901) Dimensions: 25 x 50 x 18 cm. Patinated bronze sculpture on a green marble plinth. A panther is depicted in a stealthy advance, its body tense and musculature clearly defined as it moves one of its forelegs across rocky terrain. The composition emphasises anatomical power and the sense of imminent movement through highly naturalistic and expressive modelling.
