A monumental mantel clock comprising an ovoid central case decorated with landscape scenes, cherubs and floral motifs against a sky-blue background, supported by an elaborate gilded bronze mount featuring exuberant Rococo scrolls. The enamelled dial blends harmoniously into the ornamental ensemble, whilst the combination of Parisian porcelain and bronze reflects the technical and decorative refinement of 19th-century French manufacturers.
