Description
Pair of mirrors. French School. 19th century.
Carved and gilded wood. Dimensions: 57 x 42 cm each. A set of two rectangular mirrors framed by richly ornamented Louis XVI-style frames. The upper part of each piece features a central mask surrounded by volutes, flowers and scrolls, whilst the lower part is distinguished by a band of plant carvings in relief. The mirrors are topped by rounded brackets that combine geometric and decorative elements. The off-white polychrome finish with gold details lends balance and luminosity to the ensemble. These mirrors reflect the refinement of 19th-century French furniture, combining classic elegance with a striking decorative presence.
