Holy water font with the Jesuit coat of arms, Talavera, Castilian School, 18th century Glazed and polychrome ceramic. Dimensions: 27 x 15 x 8 cm. Wall-mounted ewer with a mixtilinear profile, decorated with the IHS monogram associated with the Society of Jesus, accompanied by floral motifs and plant details rendered with spontaneous and expressive brushstrokes. The structure comprises a semicircular lower section for holding holy water and a moulded upper section featuring decorative elements in a popular Baroque style. The colour combination of blues, yellows and manganese adds visual vibrancy and reinforces the handcrafted nature of the piece. The Jesuit iconography highlights its devotional purpose and its connection to religious or domestic settings deeply influenced by Counter-Reformation spirituality.
