Exquisite Meissen vases depicting cherubs and gallant scenes, Germany, 19th century.
A pair of German Meissen porcelain vases, polychrome and gilt. Dimensions: 47 x 33 x 23 cm. These vases feature flared bodies and relief decoration of branches, leaves, flowers, fruit and cherubs on the sides. The fronts are adorned with Rococo cartouches depicting gallant and pastoral scenes painted in polychrome, accompanied by floral motifs scattered both inside and out. The handles are integrated as ascending plant stems, and the circular bases incorporate gilt decoration, reinforcing the ornamental character of 19th-century German porcelain.
