Signed Chinese plate – Ming Guo, 20th century Pink-glazed porcelain. Measures 20.5 cm in diameter. The plate is decorated with a lakeside landscape featuring frogs and dragonflies amongst reeds, flowers and riverside vegetation, painted in delicately toned polychrome glazes. The composition evokes a naturalistic atmosphere of great poetic sensitivity, where water is suggested by fine, undulating lines and soft chromatic gradations.
