Isabeline console table, Spanish School, 19th century Carved wood and marble. Dimensions: 88 x 130 x 67 cm. This magnificent Isabeline console table, crafted from carved and gilded wood with a light marble top, boasts the exuberant ornamental richness characteristic of Spanish decorative furniture from the second half of the 19th century. The structure features an elaborate display of scrolls, foliage and plant motifs carved in high relief, which adorn the apron, legs and crossbars with great sculptural dynamism. A large scallop shell, surrounded by rocaille motifs and intertwined plant compositions, stands out in the centre, whilst the sharply curved legs lend the piece a sense of monumentality and movement.
