Description
VENINI (Murano, Italy) – Pair of four-light wall sconces (c. 1970) Murano glass, chrome-plated steel and metal. Dimensions: 60 × 25 × 15 cm each. An exceptional pair of four-light wall sconces, manufactured by the prestigious Venini firm in Murano around 1970, exemplifying the excellence of Italian design and the craftsmanship of Venetian glassmaking during the second half of the 20th century. Each sconce features a chromed steel structure with a height-adjustable arm and an elegant cylindrical shade composed of clear and frosted glass tubes, the combination of which creates a refined lighting effect of great aesthetic quality. The design, with its clean lines and sophisticated simplicity, fully embodies the aesthetic of Italian design from the 1960s and 70s, characterised by the integration of fine materials, technical innovation and functionality. The quality of the finishes, the purity of the proportions, and the prestige of the Venini manufacture make this set a remarkable collector’s item, ideal for both contemporary interiors and mid-century-inspired spaces. These items are in a condition consistent with their age and use. This lot is located in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export licence from the country of origin may be required.
