A devotional image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus standing on a base of clouds, with his right hand raised in blessing whilst his left points to the flaming heart on his chest, surrounded by a golden radiance and crowned with thorns as a symbol of redeeming love and sacrifice. He wears a white tunic and a wide red cloak with a gold lining decorated with brocaded plant motifs, topped by an openwork metal crown that emphasises its devotional character. The serene anatomy, the soft modelling of the face, and the brilliant polychromy reflect the tradition of the Olot workshops, renowned for producing religious imagery for domestic and parish worship. The careful rendering of the folds, the delicate use of colour, and the compositional balance reflect the historicist aesthetic of 20th-century Spanish religious sculpture. 37 cm high.
