Shepherd with llamas and a tree. Peruvian School. 20th century Cast, chased and assembled from 800 silver. Measures 8 x 8 x 6 cm. A small-scale genre scene depicting a shepherd, two llamas and a tree with a spreading crown, set on an oval base decorated with incisions suggesting the terrain. The verticality of the tree structures the scene and balances the horizontal arrangement of the animals, whilst the shepherd introduces the narrative and human element.
