FRANÇOIS DE HÉRAIN (Paris, 1877 – Paris, 1962) – Portrait of an Oriental Man with a Turban Charcoal on paper. Dimensions: 37 x 29 cm. Framed. Signed De Hérain. This Orientalist portrait, created around 1925–1935, depicts a man wearing a turban. It is characterised by a keen attention to physiognomic detail and the expressive intensity of the face. The work belongs to the later period of François de Hérain, a French painter and draughtsman associated with the Orientalist tradition.
