Bridal Hoe Currency, Afo village, Nigeria, 20th century Wrought iron. Dimensions: 84 × 57 × 18 cm. An ancient form of ritual currency used by the Afo people in Nigeria, commonly offered as a dowry or as a symbol of alliance between families.
