A 19th-century French folding secretaire, made during the Napoleon III era, with a rectangular front and harmonious proportions. The piece features a two-part structure: in the upper section, the hinged lid reveals an interior with small drawers, compartments and shelves, designed for organising writing materials and correspondence; in the lower section, two rectangular doors provide additional storage space.
