A pair of floral still lifes. Signed T. Palomar, Spanish school, 20th century.
Watercolour. Dimensions 25 x 17 cm; framed 32 x 26 cm. A pair of floral compositions arranged in different containers, one in a goblet and the other in a basket, featuring abundant bouquets of open flowers and buds in shades of white, pink, blue, mauve and orange. The stems and leaves are rendered with loose, undulating strokes, creating light silhouettes and an upward movement against warm, neutral backgrounds. The flowers are grouped compactly in the lower central area, allowing the outlines of the petals and leaves to stand out vividly. Signed T. Palomar.
