Circular relief in medieval style, made of terracotta Terracotta relief. Measures 21 x 20 cm; with frame 34 x 33 cm. A workshop scene featuring two figures on either side of an anvil or workbench. On the right, one figure raises a hammer in mid-strike, whilst on the left another holds or presents the object being worked on. Both wear long tunics and are arranged around a central structure that organises the composition vertically. The suspended gesture of the hammer and the interplay between the figures’ hands lend narrative tension to this small, handcrafted relief.
