Shang Dynasty Ornamental or ritual leaf, a funerary offering carved from brown nephrite jade with golden highlights, bearing an ancient patina, traces of natural alteration, silt, and excavation patina consistent with a long period of burial. The upper part is cut into scalloped teeth, whilst the lower part is ovoid and perforated with a small suspension hole, suggesting use as a funerary ornament.
