Archaeological fusiform cylindrical cosmetic bottle made of iridescent glass
With a short, open neck and a tapered base, used for cosmetics, kohl or perfumed oils. The translucent, amber-violet, gradient, blown glass exhibits an iridescent shimmer due to centuries of mineral degradation. Egypt. Typical of the New Kingdom or Ptolemaic period, 1500–300 BC. Height 8.5 cm × diameter 1 cm. Item held in an international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipment: no import duties apply within the EU. An export licence from the country of origin may be required.
