Child Jesus, Savior of the World, with wig, colonial school, Mexico, 18th century Boy with Globe and Wig. Measures 76 x 34 x 32 cm. This three-dimensional sculpture of a child, nude and standing upright on a polychrome stepped base, has his right hand extended in a gesture of blessing and his left hand holding the globe surmounted by a cross. His head is covered with long, artificial hair and adorned with a metal crown, while his rounded features, wide-open eyes, and slightly parted lips intensify his devotional presence.
