Carved chestnut wood. Dimensions: 150 x 50 x 76 cm. This Tyrolean bench, which can be disassembled and assembled by interlocking joints, is made of hand-carved chestnut wood and was originally carved from a single log, according to the description provided. Originating from the Trentino region of northern Italy, it was once part of the garden of an old local villa and is notable for its unique ornamental character combined with solid functionality. The piece features a vibrant polychrome finish that accentuates its decorative presence and makes it especially suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its most distinctive feature is the sides sculpted in the shape of bears, rendered with remarkable precision in the details of the snout, teeth, nose, and eyes, giving the piece a strong sculptural quality and a distinctly Alpine feel. Robust, durable, and full of character, this bench is a unique piece of Central European folk furniture, rare and particularly attractive. It is in very good condition. Several units are available.
