Spectacular Pair of Outdoor Stone Table Legs - Late 19th-20th Century, France or Italy Stone reliefs. Measures 72 x 61 x 15 cm. Pair of ornamental blocks carved with figures of griffins facing each other in a symmetrical composition, with powerful bodies, outstretched wings, and heads turned in profile. The creatures occupy almost the entire surface of each relief, with plumage marked by parallel furrows, vigorous legs, and undulating tails that intertwine in the centre. The moulded upper section and stepped base frame these images with a strong heraldic and architectural presence.
