Small Egyptian cosmetic vessel made of alabaster calcite with an ovoid belly. With a narrow, rounded base, short neck, and wide, open mouth with a thickened lip. The translucent, honey-beige stone displays a network of crystallizations and fine natural veins. The interior is deeply hollowed, with tool marks. There are chips and flaking along the rim, minor imperfections at the base, and otherwise, it is in good condition with a uniform patina. Egypt. Old-Middle Kingdom. 3rd-2nd millennium BC.
