Description
Archaeological fusiform cylindrical cosmetic bottle of iridescent glass. With a short, open neck and a tapered base, used for cosmetics, kohl, or perfumed oils. The translucent, amber-violet, gradient, blown glass exhibits iridescent shimmer due to centuries of mineral degradation. Egypt. Typical of the New Kingdom or Ptolemaic period, 1500-300 BC. Height 8.5 cm x diameter 1 cm. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipment: no import duties apply within the EU. Export permit from the country of origin may be required.
