Cizhou-type ceramic vessel with vegetal and calligraphic decoration Globular bowl on a ring-shaped foot with a short, open neck, glazed with underglaze painted decoration in manganese brown on an ivory background, composed of stylized vegetal scrolls and calligraphic motifs. The shoulder is highlighted by an incised and painted geometric frieze. Light glaze, slightly craquelured, stopped above the foot, revealing a grey paste underneath. Unglazed ground. China.
