Description
Important Italian bronze planter, Italy, 19th century
Cast bronze. Dimensions: 90 x 50 x 40 cm. An important Venetian Empire-style planter, featuring a fluted body, lion's paw feet, and handles topped with lion masks, all executed with remarkable casting quality and a strong decorative flair. From a private Venetian collection and originally belonging to a pair, the piece stands out for the rich ornamentation of its design, the solidity and weight of the bronze, and the original solution of the handles, integrated into the lions' mouths. Its elegant monumentality and the nobility of the material make it particularly suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, where it can serve as a striking ornamental element. It is presented in very good condition and is complete. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required.
