Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nantes and then at the Académie Julian in Paris, where she studied under Jean-Paul Laurens and the Royer studio, Henriette Porson exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français between 1906 and 1909, where she became a member and won several awards.
On her return to Nantes, in 1912 she founded an art teaching studio and played an active role in the Breton art scene. From the 1930s onwards, she worked with HB Manufacture in Quimper, producing the "Seated Arab Boy", which was exhibited at the 1931 Colonial Exhibition and won a silver medal.
Her work, represented by around fifteen models at HB, is now partly preserved at the Musée d'histoire de Nantes.
