Virgin and Child. Bolognese School, circle or workshop of Guido Reni. 17th century Oil on canvas. Dimensions 96 x 74 cm. A highly refined devotional composition depicting the Virgin lovingly holding the Christ Child in an intimate dialogue of glances and gestures. The Virgin gently inclines her head towards the Infant, creating an atmosphere of spiritual contemplation and maternal tenderness.
