Important – Italian portrait, Genoese painter – 17th century Oil on relined canvas. Dimensions 44 x 37 cm; frame 59 x 49 cm. A half-bust portrait of a mature gentleman emerging from a dark background, his face turned slightly towards the viewer, his expression lively and introspective, conveying all the psychological intensity of the composition.
