‘Very Important Saint Agnes’, oil on panel, from the school of Francisco Pacheco (1564–1644), a 16th-century Sevillian Mannerist master Large oil on panel: 140 x 75 cm, possibly for an altarpiece in the style of Francisco Pacheco (1564–1644), the master of Sevillian Mannerism and Velázquez’s father-in-law. A work of the same name, which was offered at auction and has been part of the Prado’s royal collections since 1829, belonged to the altarpiece of Doña Francisca de León from the Convent of Santo Ángel in Seville.
