Exquisite 17th-century Roman alabaster oil painting – Roman Baroque Master Painted alabaster. Possibly by a Roman master, yet to be identified. Dimensions: 36 x 29 cm; 54 x 48 cm with frame. A scene of intense drama depicts Salome holding the platter bearing the head of John the Baptist, flanked by two figures.
