Cast figure of Christ on an iron cross. Catalan Modernist school, 19th to early 20th century. Partially enamelled cast iron. Figure of Christ on a cross with lobed ends and a tripartite base. The crucified figure, rendered in a hieratic and rigid style, is characterised by its stylised proportions, the frontal and symmetrical arrangement of the limbs, and the geometric treatment of the clothing. The face, with almond-shaped eyes and a prominent beard, is adorned with a trilobed crown and plant motifs that reinforce its iconography as Christ the King. The use of coloured enamels on the tunic and belt adds an ornamental dimension that enriches the symbolic character of the ensemble. The execution reflects an archaic sensibility, closely linked to the Gothic tradition, reinterpreted within the devotional context of the 18th century. Dimensions: 75 × 50 × 29 cm
