Description
37 China: A rare pair of hexagonal vases, with openwork walls, made of hard-paste porcelain, decorated with floral motifs featuring polychrome figures and gold decoration on a coral-coloured background… Polychrome decoration on a lidded vessel with enamels known as ‘Famille rose’. These vases consist of three parts: a lid, a double-walled vase and a display base. Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period 1736–1795. Condition: Vase A: fretel and neck of the vase previously restored, a chip reattached to the plinth. Vase B: a chip previously restored on the lid.
