Description
41 China A rare set of seven small hard-paste porcelain fruit bowls decorated with a horseman hunting a hare with a bow and arrow. High-fired blue monochrome under glaze. The reverse sides are decorated with stemmed flowers painted in blue monochrome.
Marked with six characters ‘Chenghua’ within a double circle on the reverse. Qing Dynasty,
Kangxi period (1662–1722), circa 1700.
Diameter: 19.8 cm. Condition: one plate with a small chip measuring 0.5 cm. //Note: The
Chenghua mark is present here to honour the memory of this emperor and is not, in this
