An oval box in 18K yellow gold (750/000) with a translucent pink enamelled base set against a guilloché background, framed by white enamelled fillets, friezes of pearls and garlands of flowers enamelled in green and white, the hinged lid adorned with a gouache miniature depicting Maria Theresa of Austria, after Jean I Petitot (1607–1691), encircled by a green enamel border and garlands of flowers in three-tone gold.
A 19th-century piece bearing apocryphal hallmarks of Pierre-Nicolas Peyard.
