Brass sextant signed on the vernier by a London manufacturer (signature illegible) with a
wooden handle, in its original mahogany case. 3 coloured filters for the fixed mirror, 4 for the movable mirror;
on the lid of the latter, a bone plaque bears the name of the British sloop ‘H.M.S.
MAGPIE’, which took part in naval operations during the Second World War.
Complete with its lenses and accessories. Slight wear; one viewing lens is chipped.
