MASTER of the ROSENBORG HUNTING SCENES (Active in Flanders in the early 17th century) Scene of a fox hunt in the forest Oak panel, two boards, unparqueted 52 x 66.5 cm Trace of a monogram in the lower left corner Provenance: Anonymous sale, Vienna (Dorotheum), 14 April 2005, lot 109, illustrated; Acquired in 2006 by the current owner. The current attribution is by Marijke C. de Kinkelder, based on a series of paintings held at Rosenborg Castle, near Copenhagen. The artist is associated with the circle of Gillis van Coninxloo.
