In its original wooden-shaped case lined with kidskin and signed Odiot Orfèvre in Paris. Minerve hallmarks (950°/°°), work by various silversmiths subcontracted by the House of Odiot; pieces hallmarked ODIOT. Probably under the direction of Charles-Nicolas Odiot (1777–1868). Parisian work circa 1850.
