Description
Chest of drawers, partly from the Transition period Rectangular in shape, with a central projection, decorated with satinwood veneer set within amaranth and rosewood frames; the rounded sides feature simulated fluting, the top is cut-out, and the legs are curved. It opens with two drawers with concealed crossbars, joined by moulded frames and a wide lock opening decorated with trophies. Fixed handles decorated with cherubs holding garlands. Griotte marble top. Bears the Hopillart stamp from Rue des Saints-Pères on the top of the chest of drawers and beneath the marble, accompanied by the number 74752.
