Set of 2 vases and 1 shell-shaped pot-pourri dish in porcelain, Paris, 19th century, with rich polychrome floral decoration and gold highlights, height 26 to 31 cm restorations A collection of porcelain by Jacob Petit Founded in 1830 by Jacob Petit (1796–1868) and operating under his management until 1862, the manufactory is distinguished by its elaborate forms and highly imaginative decoration, often Rococo-inspired, combining polychrome designs with rich gold highlights. Its output ranks among the most characteristic examples of French porcelain from the Romantic period.
