[Engraving; game]. SÈVE (Jacques de). [Animal-themed card game]. No place, no publisher, Year 7 [1798]. A rare collection of 14 plates drawn by J.C. de Sève, engraved on copper by Pierron and coloured, each comprising four captioned vignettes depicting animals (making a total of 52 figures), except for the last plate, which features four maps of continents. Large 8vo, contemporary tan sheepskin, plain and unmarked spine (defects, damage including one plate roughly reattached, soiling).
