Paris: G. Martin, 1681. Two works in one 12mo volume, [1] fol. (title page), pp. 5–276 and [1] fol. (title page), 243 pp., [1] fol., contemporary brown calf, spine with 5 raised bands, gilt title, decorated panels, red edges (damage including torn caps, worn corners; discolouration). A rare combination of two works concerning this women’s order founded in Bourges in 1501 by Saint Jeanne de France, the repudiated wife of Louis XII, and her confessor, Father Gabriel Maria. The lack of pagination in the first volume is common to copies held by the Catholic Institute of Paris and the University Library of Lille. Provenance: Lange, priest (old signature on the title page).
